
Kingsley Chinedu Obi is a writer with the passion to inspire, an inspiration to introspection, an introspection to ponder; and perhaps wonder. He is from Oka, Anambra State, Nigeria, born to the family of Late Reverend Canon Peter Obi.
He had his education in the Sciences, History/International Relations, Divinity and Theology, obtaining a first degree in Parasitology and Entomology, a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology, a Master’s Degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies, a Master’s Degree in Divinity and a Masters’s Degree in Theology.
In 2000, Kingsley became the founding Editor of Onyije News Magazine, the first Igbo-centric Newsmagazine in Nigeria. He started writing at a very tender age, having his published works approved for use in the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, Nigeria.
He is also a co-founder of an NGO, Save and Secure the Child Initiative.
In 2020 he was elected the Treasurer of Rotary club of Awka, the number one Rotary club in District 9142., a position he holds till date. The following year in 2021 he was appointed the Club’s Grant Chair, while doubling as the Anambra State Rep on Community service. He is also the Chairman of His Kindred, Okoloakpala kindred, and the President of his secondary school old boys association, worldwide, Agulu Grammar School Old Boys Association – C92, and the Vice president of Unizik Life Scientists Worldwide, an Alumni Association of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Kingsley Obi is a private business man, the CEO of Ojadili Homes Ltd, ArchRock Creatives Media and Ojadili Publishing.
He is a novelist, a playwright and a poet. In addition to writing, Kingsley’s other interests include listening to Classical music, playing football, playing the Organ and reading.
He’s married to Patsy Amarachi Obi, both of whom live in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria, with their two teenage daughters.
